The purpose of the article is to indicate important aspects related to education for safetyin hierarchically structured institutions, such as uniformed services, taking the State FireService as an example. Proper preparation of hierarchically structured institutions is thekey to eliminating threats or effectively removing the effects of their occurrence. The keyelement in preparing services for activities is education for safety, in particular professionaldevelopment as a process of systematic and continuous professional activity aimed at updating,expanding and deepening knowledge and skills related to the profession. The State FireService as a rescue service has implemented a professional improvement system that preparesfirefighters to correctly and effectively provide help in the event of a hazard to life, health andproperty and the environment, the functioning of this system is the subject of considerationin the following article.Keywords:
