The text contains a report from the National Congress of Accounting Departments organized by theAccounting Institute of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management at the University of Szczecin.The congress, under the slogan "Accounting in business unit management", took place on September 18–20,2019 in Szczecin. During the congress, there were sessions and debates, a lecture on access to the currentknowledge base in the field of accounting, controlling, and law as a support in the teaching process. Theparticipants took part in the workshop "Split payment mechanism - changes and current problems" andhad the opportunity to have a discussion during a poster session. On the first day of the congress, professorKazimiera Winiarska (University of Szczecin) was thanked for her many years of engagement andscientific activity.
