The aim of the article is to present existing procedures of crossing wa-ter obstacles in the light of currently binding normative documents. The article addresses the issue of crossings’ organization during basic tacti-cal activities and describes setting of a crossing (breaching) section with its main elements taken into consideration. Moreover, primary compo-nents of command and control of a crossing section have been charac-terized in the article.
