Summary: This paper seeks to focus onthe idea of a user-centric context-awaredigital system and its rationale in a processof tourism value creation. The purpose ofthe study is to offer an understanding ofthe context-aware applications in order toanalyze their usefulness in tourism marketing.This is achieved through a literaturereview of existing research and thedemonstration of several applications intravel and hospitality which might enrichthe set of marketing tools adopted bytourism regions and enterprises.
