The current economic situation imposes remodeling of the approach towards managingtheir organizations into property development firms, which have adopted a strategyof long-term operation on the market. The success of the industry has imposed the interdisciplinarityof management methods and changes in the approach towards human capital. In the scientific space, the industry, despite its great importance for the economy, isnot a subject of study. The aims of firms are pursued, above all, through the conduct ofconstruction sites. Each construction site is a distinct project and in the case of multipleprojects, which is the rule in large firms, we may speak of the management of a projectportfolio. In the article fragments of the results of pilot studies have been presented, theaim of which was to analyze the management processes taking place while conductingproperty development investments, with the particular consideration of human capitalmanagement. The article is to represent a contribution to the scientific study of the propertydevelopment industry. It has been showcased that the contemporary managementof a property development enterprise is an example of a projects-oriented organization.
