Management means combining the art of exercising it and the managerial science about it.It grows out from culture, it is one of its elements as well as a factor affecting it. It is likea mandala made from grains of managers’ experience and knowledge, as well as the valuesthey declare. The formation and creative destruction of such a mandala is something likepoetry, because it needs some talent and imagination. When managing, one developsmany virtual, and sometimes real different mandalas showing various aspects ofmanagement. The most important is the mandala of managerial joy. Experience of suchjoy depends on the way a manager perceives reality. It requires from the manager thefollowing attributes: perspective, humility, humor, acceptance, forgiveness, gratefulness,compassion and generosity as well. This article explains the essence of the pillars ofmanagerial joy and describes how to understand them.
