Jerzy Jasiuk graduated from the WarsawUniversity of Technology. He was professionally connectedwith the Museum of Technology in Warsaw from 1956. From1972 to 2013 he held the post of its director. His whole lifewas devoted to technical museology; he engaged in the popularisationof knowledge and the collective care of relics.He sat on the scientific boards of numerous museums andheld social functions in many associations connected withthe protection of monuments. He was also an active andvalued activist in scientific and technical associations. Hewas always involved in the difficult dialogue about technicalmuseology. He dreamt about founding a National Museumof Technology in Poland
