The forecrops applied in potato cultivation affected the occurrence of Rhizoctonia solani Kühn and other soil fungi. The most common species found appeared to be: Penicillium nigricans Thom, P. jenseni Zaleski, P. vinaceum Gilman et Abbott. and P. raciborskii Zaleski
