A pot experiment with plants of spring wheat cv. Nagradowicka was carried out. The effects of intensive nitrogen or phosphorus fertilization on the dry matter increment, chlorophyll and water contents and rate of 14CO2 uptake in these plants during the vegetation period were investigated
