Very good results were obtained in control of apple scab with methylotiofanate. In order to prevent the quick development of resistance to benzimidazole fungicides by the Venturia inequalis fungus, a spraying program has been developed, based on captan, dodine, and tiophanate methyl. Tiophanate methyl should be applied against apple scab at the end of May and during the first half of June
