The effect of herbicides Afalon (linuron), CIPC, Gramoxone (paraquat), Krezamon (DNOC), Pielik (2,4-D • Na), Simazin (simazine) on photosynthesis of Spirodela polyrrhiza (Lemnaceae) was investigated with infra-red gas analyzer Infralyt III. Herbicides: Afalon, Gramoxone, Simazine inhibited photosynthesis, proportionally to used herbicide concentration. Krezamon inhibited CO2 exchange directly after application, but later on photosynthesis increased. 2,4-D • Na and CIPC have no effect on photosynthesis even in higher concentrations
