The international business is characterized for many analyses, methodologies and subjects. In this article, it is studied five years (2001-2006) of publication of Journal of International Business Studies (Jibs), by means of 199 articles and the relation between the methodologies and the subjects. The results show the increase of the theoretical discussion and the expansion of the specialization in concerned subjects, leaving in second plain the most general discussions. The trends and implications for the future research are also argued.
