Este artículo se enmarca en una investigación sobre imaginarios sociales de sujeto y espacio en la narrativa chilena, argentina y mexicana reciente, dentro de la cual intento pesquisar algunas figuraciones subjetivas recurrentes, entre ellas la del escritor. En su obra Roberto Bolaño efectúa algunas transformaciones desmitificadoras sobre esta representación, de las cuales intentaré dar cuenta aquí. Analizaré así cómo el poeta comprometido socialmente se convierte en fascista; en vate, en alucinado; en civilizado, en bárbaro; en vanguardista y en lumpen.This article is part of a research on subject social imaginary and space in Chilean, Argentinean and Mexican recent narrative. In this research I attempt to delve into some recurring subjective figures, among them, the writer. Through some transformations Roberto Bolaño in his work demystifies this representation. So, in this text I try to announce it. I will discuss how the socially committed poet becomes fascist, in poet prophet, in hallucinated poet; in civilized, in barbarian, in the avant--garde and in lumpen
