An example of distance learning in pre-school education: "Preescolar na casa"

Como principio fundamental hay que señalar que la educación a distancia aplicada al nivel preescolar sólo tiene cabida bajo la forma de “supervisada”, donde un adulto responsable ejecuta las directrices emanadas del programa. En España existe un buen ejemplo de programa de educación preescolar supervisada el “Preescolar Na Casa, sus propósitos generales son los de compensar la falta de asistencia escolarizada a los niños de las zonas rurales, formando a una persona que pueda sustituir al educador profesional de nivel preescolar. Como pedagogía básica se emplean los recursos que ofrece la propia comunidad, empezando por la lengua gallega, y a partir de ello se desarrollan hábitos psicomotrices, de pensamiento matemático e iniciación a la lectoescritura.As a main principle one has to point that distance education applied to pre-school level is only appropriate under the form of “supervised” where a responsible adult performs the instructions issued from the programme. In Spain there is a good example of programme regarding supervised education: “Preescolar Na Casa”. Its general aims are: to make up for the lack of scholastic assistance to the children who live in rural areas, instructing a person that may substitute the professional educator, who belongs to the preschool level.
