Pre-school education in state law and generalitat of Catalonia, in the last one hundred and fifty years

La vida política del Estado español estos ciento cincuenta años ha pasado por situaciones diversas: monarquía, república, dictadura, reconocimiento de autonomías. La vida política ha condicionado, obviamente la enseñanza del país. Esta situación cambiante y -a veces- opuesta ha quedado reflejada en la legislación escolar, también en lo referente a la educación preescolar. En este articulo se ofrece una visión global de cómo ha evolucionado y se ha modificado la normativa referente a la educación preescolar. Desde una Óptica global se hace especial mención de las épocas en que Cataluña tuvo gobierno propio, la Generalitat, ya que en este tema –así como en otros- son momentos de propuestas renovadoras. Así se insiste en la propuesta del C.E.N.U. (Consejo de la Escuela Nueva Unificada, 1936) durante la Generalitat republicana y en la actual situación en la nova Generalitat recuperada.The political life of the Spanish Nation during the last 150 years has gone through different situations: Monarchy, Republic, Dictatorship, acknowledgment of autonomies. The political life has moulded, obviously the process of teaching of the country. This changeable situation and -sometimes- reverse, has remained reflected on the school legislation, and also with everything regarding to preschool education. In this article, an overall aspect is offered of how it has developed and has modified the pattern referring to pre-school education. From an overall point of view, a special mention is showed of the time when Catalonia had self-government: the “Generalitat”since with reference to this subject, just as in others, is a time of reforming proposals. In this manner, it is insisted on the proposals of C.E.N.U. (Council of the New Unified School, 1936) during the republican Generalitat and in the present situation in the “nova” recovered Generalitat
