SUMMARYIntroduction.Managing critical events in the OR is not always consistent with the usual resuscitation management and can be considered an anesthesia therapeutic approach.Mathodologhy.On the basis of an Australian study that monitored 4,000 anesthesia incidents, an algorithm of simplified acronyms has been implemented. The American Heart Association (AHA) uses the cardiovascular quadrant to localize the main cause of hemodynamic instability, in accordance with 4 components: Cardiac pump, heart rate, resistance and volume.Results.This review combines both systems to successfully manage any critical events during anesthesia
