In recent years, experts and managers in both industrialized and developing countries have begun a quest to create new policies for urban transportation, environmental problems, energy saving and equity between different groups in society with increasing sensitivity. In urban transportation sector, instead of traditional transportation policies which are irreversible and require large investments, the transportation policies which are developed with lesser investment and more reasonable and efficient use of available resources are adopted. These policies which are developed to manage the increasing demand rather than to create supply for the increasing transportation demand, are called "travel demand management strategies." In this study, with the help of travel demand management strategies, which have very successful applications in the world, reduction of traffic load is calculated through a sample case and things that need to be done in this direction are introduced
