This paper addresses reverse engineering from both ethical and biblical perspectives. Utilitarian arguments in favor of reverse engineering and Kantian arguments against reverse engineering are provided. An initial attempt to place reverse engineering within a biblical framework is also offered, along with recommendations for future research.
