As it is known tourism Except that it is a phenomenon of civilization, society, and psychology andfilling the spiritual and physiological needs of human, it is considered an important and effectiveeconomic phenomenon that plays a significant role in improving the economic sector of countries andfacing up unemployment problems. In the city of Sulaymaniyah, as in all the cities of Iraq, due to thegrowth of the natural population on the one hand and the mass migration from districts, districts andvillages to cities, the unemployment rate is increasing day by day, and this requires the awakening ofthe tourism field and its various services to find job opportunities for the unemployed in the city. Thereis a strong relationship between tourism services and job creation in Sulaymaniyah city. According tothe data and information, all different tourism services were able to provide jobs for )17,564( whichgives (%3.5) of total work opportunity in the city, this is about one-third of the number of jobs availableglobally. This wants to assess the role of the tourism services sector in providing job opportunitiesfor city residents and the level of tourism services in providing job opportunities during the periodfrom 2007 to 2020 in the context of scientific research based on available data and information. Wefollowed the (comparative analytical) approach, and we also distributed (50) questionnaires to varioustourism service establishments, such as (hotels, restaurants, cafeterias and cafes, shopping centers andamusement parks)., and based on the light Conclusions in the study The government and the concernedor competent authorities should pay great attention to the tourism sector through raising the level andallocations of tourism investment and continuous work to attract increasing numbers of tourists byraising the level of tourism services in the study area.
