We need to have command over all four skills of English language. But in the modern times spoken language has occupied the most prominent position among the other skills and it is the most difficult skill to accomplish. Indeed, many EFL learners face problems to speak fluently in the target language. The students have diverse problems of their own while expressing themselves. The mainaim of this study was to explore factors that cause hurdles in speaking among college students of Quetta. The participants of the study were 30students (15 males and 15 female) and 5 teachers (3 males and 2 female) of English from two different colleges of Quetta. They were interviewed about the factors that cause hurdles for them to speak English. Some recommendations were also suggested, based on the findings of the research. The study was meant to support the students to improve their speaking ability in their EFL classes.
