In this article, mathematical modeling is considered, using the example of compartment models that were proposed in the 1920s by Kermak and McKendrick. In particular, the SIRS and SEIR-HCD models, which are basic for other more complex models, are given as an example. The features of these models are that they are based on a system of differential equations. The article lists both the advantages of these models and the disadvantages. As a result, we presented a system of equations.
