Reduction and internal fixation of a rare injury to the thumb trapezo-metacarpal joint is described in three patients, a combination of a Bennett type fracture with a shear fracture of the radial tuberosity of the trapezium. Although open reduction is recommended for most cases, closed reduction may be adequate in some. [Hand Microsurg 2016; 5(3.000): 164-168
