Intussusception is the telescoping of a proximal bowel wall into the lumen of a distal segment. Although common in children, it is still a rare entity in adults and usually occurs secondarily to an underlying malignant neoplasia. Intussusception is relatively rare in adults. Here is reported the case of a 40-year-old woman with extensive colo-colonic intussuception of the right colon caused by a giant polypoid tumor that turned out to be a leiomyoma. The patient was successfully treated by reduction of the intussusception and then immediate hemicolectomy. [Arch Clin Exp Surg 2016; 5(3.000): 177-179
