The objective of this article is to present a panorama of the economic development of the municipalities of Paraná from the effects caused by the Local Productive Arrangements (APLs) of Software and Information Technology. Targeting the objective was used as methodology the Factor Analysis (AF) by the analysis of the main components to build a ranking of the most developed municipalities and descriptive analysis of the economic development proxies variables of the year 2000 and 2010, in addition to the Locational Quotient (QL) to verify the specialization of each APL based on employment data from the 2014 Annual Social Information Report (RAIS). Despite, the other municipalities are making efforts to improve their indicators, achieving greater advances than the more developed regions. This situation is reinforced by the fact that all APLs are specialized in at least two activities in the software and information technology sector, an important sector for the state due to its increasing dynamism and innovative character
