Ressignificação do lar: as mudanças da sociedade refletidas na configuração dos imóveis em Maringá

This article aims to describe, between the decades of 80's, 90's until 2012, the characteristics of the residential apartments of families of classes A and B from Maringá, identifying what changes occurred in this period, raising the redefinition of residential and its internal spaces, and which factors influenced these changes. The characteristics of the apartments were studied decade by decade, in the mentioned period, along with architects who work in the city of Maringá. Considering that this is an exploratory study, in order to achieve the objectives described, the methodology chosen was the qualitative approach, where the tools used were bibliographic review and semi-structured interviews with architects. The results pointed that the type of apartment that was wanted in the 80's was similar with the horizontal residence style and was designed to meet the needs of families that required a lot of internal space, but without practicality. In the 90's the apartment dimension was reduced, it was an apartment-transition period. There were no excess rooms like in the 80s, but it was all very streamlined compared to the 2000's.
