In refuting Descartes, Vico proposed the only true that we can purchase is which was produced by the man himself; language, history are the two fields where we can reach the true, opposing it to Cartesian doubt about the reality. From what the men had made we can understand the Providence or, for using a Vico's affirmation, we can have conscience of Providence. In this manner, the Verum, what is made by men, would be the Certum, the real conscience of the human being and his existence. History becomes a process, because it isn't a series of fortuity events or made by divine will. It becomes the result of human expression that accomplishes by itself the Providence purposes, enchaining the events to a specific direction: the conscience of being's existence
