Our attempt in writing this essay is to present the issues American post-modernity has brought about, contextualizing the production of the classical anthropological knowledge, discussing typical methodologies, such as the field work, the relationship observer-observed and the nature of ethnographical representations, and evidencing their relevance in the process of communication of the contemporary world
