Imagens que consumimos, imagens que nos consomem: afetações do corpo na era da virtualidade

This study addresses the influence of images on the body reconfigurations in contemporary times. To draw an initial understanding of it, it is presented a critical evaluation of three phenomena: the imperative of the perfect physique, the impeccable skin an esthetic and the logic of the body as a commodity. This analysis seeks to establish connections between these processes, placing them as components of the complex web that is the current visual culture. Este estudo aborda a influência das imagens sobre as reconfigurações do corpo na contemporaneidade. Para traçar uma compreensão inicial sobre isso, apresenta-se a avaliação crítica de três fenômenos: o imperativo do físico perfeito, a estética da pele impecável e a lógica do corpo como mercadoria.
