Do Pessach à Pascha: ressignificação dos significantes da Páscoa judaica pela Páscoa cristã

The Jewish Passover and Christian Easter are so different as one might think a priori? Through the application of Todd Holden’s (2001) concept of resignification in the biblical passages related to Easter, this paper attempts to demonstrate that the Christian and Jewish accounts are under the same structural background, to the extent that the major signifiers of Pessach are reinterpreted into the Christian Easter. To characterize the documents, we will address the issues about formation and transmission of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, as well as the rite, narratives and signifiers that compound the Jewish Passover and the Christian Easter, as well as a discussion of why the first can be designated as myth, while the second is considered a memory
