All available post-flight reports provided by aircrews of civil jet aircraft during the last sixteen years were scrutinised. Data regarding Cb clouds. over the Bay were extracted and analysed. The mean heights of Cb tops over the Bay and their seasonal and latitudinal variations have been studied. Some other characteristics, like amounts of Cb clouds, turbulence and icing encountered in the vicinity of Cb clouds have been briefly discussed.
