An iterative method is derived for obtaining an equilibrium solution for ionospheric reaction systems involving positive ions and electrons. Another method for obtaining the same equilibrium solution is also given and in addition, a method IS described for obtaining an equilibrium solution for ionospheric reaction by stems involving negative ions, positive ions and electrons.
