This article is based on the problems of studying the musical heritage of the Kazakh people, which has reached our time from the depths of many centuries. The cognitive possibilities of many musical and cultural phenomena, closely related to each other, are considered within the framework of synergistic theory. In the process of presenting the material, a certain place is given to hermeneutic analysis of previously published works and publications in which erroneous judgments about the nature of the musical heritage of the Kazakh people are found. This applies to studies published in the 60s and 80s of the last century, which reflected inaccurate judgments. All these issues have been studied from a new methodological position. In the process of developing the topic, such concepts of synergy as bifurcation, fluctuation, nonlinearity, chaos have been introduced into scientific usage. Due attention is paid to individual misconceptions about chordophones, which which were reflected in the study of musical instruments of the Kazakh people. In the process of hermeneutic analysis, both cognitive capabilities and the compilative nature of such judgments are determined. Numerous inaccuracies are described in connection with the study of the appearance of Korkut and mare. In general, the methodological basis of this article was the cognitive categories of synergy.
