The article deals with the preservation and popularization of traditional music in the context of globalization. There are ethno-folklore groups that have emerged in accordance with modern requirements, new concepts, trends, styles and genres.For the analysis, which reveals the fundamental principles of traditional music, the folk song “Karakoz” and the folk kyu “Aida, bylpym!” Were chosen. The purpose of the study is to determine the factors necessary for the preservation and "promotion" of traditional music in the era of globalization, through the determination of the value and significance of contemporary works.The performed musical analysis of the song confirmed the high qualities of its emotional and psychological content, cantilena, necessary for the performance of skill and in general the level that meets the criteria of professional composers of oral tradition.The analysis of the characteristics of the composition, intonation and rhythmic language of the kyuy “Ayda, bylpym!” Confirmed the special significance of this work in the repertoire of performers, the work of composers and the educational sphere.It is well known that folk music reflects “national ideology”, “national language”, “national mentality” and “national code”; in the era of globalization, in the process of modernization of traditional music, it is possible to preserve the “national code”.
