Abstract The central subjects of the present paper are the contradictions founds in the representation of Paris in the subsequent period of the Great War, well known as “crazy years”. For that reason, it contrasts the town planner’s discourse about the French capital – specially the discourse of the architect Le Corbusier – with some literary representations about the city: newspaper’s columns and surrealist narratives published during the decade of Twenty years.
