Stimulus-stimulus pairing procedures/SSPP occur in natural verbal interaction between adults and babies. The goal of this experiment was to verify listener behavior learning by a 17-months-old infant with a combined procedure of matching-to-sample/MTS and SSPP. The participant learned twelve name-photo relations in MTS tasks, after previous exposition to the SSPP (photo-name). Experimental stimuli were twelve photos of animals and twelve two-syllable pseudo-names which were divided in four sets. The combination of the two procedures was effective for listener behavior learning which occurred with less training sessions for each one of the four stimuli sets
