During this project is analyzed the urbanization on the neighborhoods Jardim Boa Vista and Conjunto Habitacional Recanto Verde, located on the left bank of the valley of Corumbatai river in its middle course, in Rio Claro-SP. It was attempted to analyze the object of study according the environmental issues into instruments, documents of planning and socio-spatial segregation observed in irregular allotment. Keywords: Urban Planning, Socio-spatial Segregation, Environmental Question, Rio Claro.No decorrer deste trabalho é analisada a urbanização referente aos bairros Jardim Boa Vista e Conjunto Habitacional Recanto Verde, localizados na margem esquerda do vale do Rio Corumbataí em seu médio curso, no município de Rio Claro-SP. Buscou–se analisar o objeto de estudo frente às questões ambientais, aos instrumentos e documentos de planejamento e à segregação sócio-espacial verificada em loteamentos residenciais irregulares.
