Este artigo aponta para a complexidade da participação da imagem técnica na formulação das categorias de entendimento antropológicas e em particular, na produção de narrativas etnográficas por meio das novas tecnologias digitais e eletrônicas. Este fenômeno remonta ao processo de legitimação dos conceitos antropológicos no âmbito das ciências humanas, abordado aqui sob o ponto de vista dos limites epistemológicos que cercam o estatuto da imagem no pensamento ocidental. Multi-media technologies in the construction of ethnographic narratives: the route of an investigation Abstract This article tackles the complexities of technical images as participant in the formulation of anthropological categories, focusing particularly on the production of ethnographic narratives by new digital and electronic technologies. This phenomenon goes back to the process of legitimatising anthropological concepts in the field of human sciences, here understood under the perspective of the epistemological limits that surround the status of image in occidental thought.
