Em razão do crescimento considerável do comércio de fitoterápicos, foi verificada por meio de ensaios farmacognósticos a qualidade dos fármacos vegetais comercializados emCuritiba, Paraná. Das 120 amostras analisadas, consideraram-se 48,3% como insatisfatórias, por apresentarem principalmente excesso de matéria orgânica estranha. Essa constatação é um indicativo do inadequado controle de qualidade nas indústrias de fitoterápicos e da precária fiscalização dos produtos comercializados. QUALITY OF THE VEGETAL DRUGS COMMERCIALIZED IN CURITIBA - PR Abstract As the result of an expanding phytotherapic commerce, it was carried out pharmacognostic essays of the vegetal drugs commercialized in Curitiba, Paraná, in order to evaluate their quality. Among the 120 samples analysed, 48,3% have not achieved recommended parameters, mostly because of excessive foreign matter. These data point out the inadequate quality control of industries of phytotherapy and the inefficient fiscalization of commercialized products.
