Hubungan Indeks Masa Tubuh dengan Usia Menarche di SDN 44 Kota Bima

ABSTRACKIntroduction: The average age of menarche in adolescents has decreased from 12.4 years to 11.8 years. One of the causal factors is nutritional factors that can be assessed from Body Mass Index (BMI). This study aimed to analyze the relationship between BMI and the age of menarche. Methods: This research is a quantitative analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The location is at SDN 44 Bima City. The population in this study were all students in grades IV-VI with the sampling technique of total sampling. Results: Of the4 respondents who had a lightweight BMI, all of them experienced normal menarche age, and those who had a normal BMI, most of them experienced normal menarche age, that is ten respondents (83.3%), while respondents who had a light fat BMI were seven respondents and all experienced (100%) abnormal age of menarche or early menarche. The statistical tests showed a p-value of 0.00(<0.05). Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between BMI and age of menarche. It is hoped that the next researcher will examine other factors that influence menarche and a larger population.ABSTRAKPendahuluan: Umur menarche pada remaja rata-rata telah berkurang dari 12,4 tahun menjadi11,8 tahun. Salah satu faktor penyebab yaitu faktor gizi yang bisa dinilai dari Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan IMT dengan usia menarche. Metode :penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional, lokasi penelitian di SDN 44 Kota Bima. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswi kelas IV-VI dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling. Hasil: Dari 4 responden yang memiliki IMT kurus ringan seluruhnya mengalami usia menarche normal dan yang memiliki IMT normal sebagian besar mengalami usia menarche normal yaitu sebanyak 10 responden (83,3%), sedangkan responden yang memiliki IMT gemuk ringan sebanyak 7 responden dan semua mengalami (100%) usia menarche tidak normal atau menarche dini. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan p-value 0,00 (<.0,05). Kesimpulan : ada hubungan yang signifikan antara IMT dengan usia menarche. Diharapkan kepada peneliti selanjutnya untuk meneliti faktor lain yang mempengaruhi menarche serta jumlah populasi yang lebih banyak.
