This article examines the use of various modern technologies in history lessons, the need for their application in the system of modern education, as well as the impact on the effectiveness of the educational process and the cognitive interest in the subject on the part of students. Conclusions are made about the results of work on the use of modern pedagogical technologies and their elements in the educational process. Students show fairly high results in their use - make presentations. The introduction of information and communication technologies into the educational process made it possible to enhance the visibility and emotional component of education, made it possible to conduct virtual excursions to museums, etc.
