Una perspectiva histórica de la política exterior de los Estados Unidos hacia América Latina en los siglos XIX y XX

El objetivo central del artículo es realizar un análisis histórico del desarrollo de la política exterior de los Estados Unidos hacia América Latina en siglos XIX y XX dentro del marco teórico de los sistemas internacionales. Se utilizan, asimismo, diversos niveles de análisis, como sean, el accionar de los individuos, el escenario doméstico y el contexto internacional en el que el país estuvo envuelto. Para tanto, se toman en consideración la teoría realista y la idealista o liberal para estudiar estos procesos.The aim of the article is to make a historical analysis of the foreign policy of theUnited States to Latin America in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries within the theoretical framework of international systems. Di&erent levels of analysis are also used, as are the actions of individuals, the domestic scene and the international context in which the country was involved.THus, are considered both realistic and idealistic or liberal theories for the purposes of study these processes
