With the growth of urban rail transit construction and operation scalesit is necessary to strengthen and deepen the studies on urban rail transit enterprise economic sustainability model. From the theoretical and practical angles, this paper reviewed the exploration and practice process of urban rail transit enterprise economic sustainability model, including the connotation of “metro operation + property development” profit model, as well as further studies and prospect. It suggests TOD model can improve the economic sustainability capability of urban rail transit enterprise, and set up a self-virtuous development cycle in rail transit industry.
