Human reproduction has been a controversial and highly political issue from the historical point of view, which has gone from being a matter of public interest to a topic that has been addressed in international meetings, in which strategies to reduce fertility rates of the population through family planning methods have been discussed. In the state of Oaxaca, The situation of women's sexual and reproductive health, as well as the high levels of marginalization, has become aspects that make it difficult for the population to have access to the social benefits of health. In addition, the non-acceptance and use of contraceptives place the state with the highest maternal death rate in the country, a situation that is aggravated inequalities and the fact of being poor and indigenous.
