Currently unconventional gas is considered to be coal bed methane, shale gas and tight gas. In our opinion, to this list should be added gas deposits controlled by inner surface unconformities in sedimentary rock complexes. Despite signs of «traditional» reservoirs – corresponding structural forms and others, specific features of their occurrence (under and above the unconformities with predominance of lithologic and stratigraphic factors in the formation of traps) can attribute them to unconventional gas. Even though there are all prerequisites to consider them as common types of deposits, they do not still refer to in integer directed search process. Add to this that these types of traps may also be characterized by the presence of «unconventional» gas properties such as low permeability, porosity, etc.
