This research is aimed to synthesis and characterize of salicylichydroxamic (SHA), by using some analytical tools, in order to be  used for extraction heavy metals ions . Extraction of heavy metals plays an important role in biological fields. The extraction was carried out by using n-butanol alcohol. Salicyhydroxamic acid reagent showed highly efficiency for extraction of Fe+3 in 1M Hcl and Cr(VI) in 4 pH with extraction percentages  (92.0%) and (83.3%)respectively. The obtained results were tabulated, graphicrlated and interoperated by statistical analysis.
