The turbine works within conditions whose very high temperature, especially nozzle guide vanes NGVs which located at the turbine entrance and burner exit, so the turbine rotating blades and stator vanes are cooled with relatively cold air taken form the compressor end . The turbine cooling affects negatively its performance, but the cooling is considered as necessary to maintain health of the vanes and blades as long possible . If the focus on the economic efficiency, we will prefer the cooling.
