Open AccessA school newspaper is the quintessential children’s school medium of mass communication, where children act as transmitters and receivers simultaneously but essentially act as journalists. So how do students–journalists face the Media in their own Medium, the school newspaper? What Media issues might occupy the school-editor community and, furthermore, how are these distinguished on the basis of “old/traditional” and “new” Media, or on the basis of print and electronic Media? We have searched out and catalogued the publications of school newspapers about the Mass Media in an attempt to elaborate on the kind and content of these publications. This will clearly highlight and manifest on one hand the Media apperceptions of the editors both from the social and the school environment, and on the other hand their critical attitude and position towards the Media.
