The paper examines the influences of socio-culture on the development of autonomous learning of Vietnamese students. This study was documented from a number of researchers who have devoted their research on autonomous learning and it’s conjunction with native social-cultural influences. The key focus of the paper is to identify how socio-cultural factors impact on student’s autonomous learning in Vietnam. The results are important as they bring the researcher a review for a further study.
