Otitis media in children causes hearing loss, serious complications, negatively affects the child's development. Maxillo-facial pathology changes anatomical relationships in the region of the middle ear. The aim of the paper was to analyze the peculiarities of the middle ear in children with maxillofacial pathology and to optimize the management of otitis media in children in this group. A prospective study was performed based on middle ear monitoring in children with maxillofacial pathology, complex detailed examination, treatment according to developed algorithms and post-surgical middle ear monitoring. The evolution of otitis media in children with maxillofacial pathology has obvious features: the tendency to chronic purulent inflammatory process in middle ear and progression of hearing loss.
