The research was a descriptive in nature. The main objective of the current study was to gauge the impact of compensation on the efficacy of university teachers. Survey method was used. Two questionnaires were designed; one for motivations while other coved the performance of university teachers. The study concluded that remunerations have great impact on the performance of university teachers. Therefore, it was recommended that administration of universities may introduce some motivational measures to enhance the performance of teachers. Universities may provide a conducive working environment among teachers in order to create balance the workload. Keywords: Motivation, Extrinsic Motivation, Work Environment, Job Performance.
